Q: Who is WreathsForTheFallen.org?
A:
The first year of laying wreaths was in 2006 and 5 wreaths were placed at the cemetery. In its first year WreathsForTheFallen.org (as the organizations’ name became) increased the number of Honor Wreaths and the numbers soared from about 90 in 2008, 400 in 2009, 1492 in 2010, 2700 in 2011, 3200 in 2012, 3549 in 2013, 3800 in 2014 and a record breaking  5017 honor wreaths in 2018. when every veteran and their family interred there received a honor wreath.  The years ahead are projected to be substantially greater as there are almost 500 burials every year.

Q: What do you mean by “Fallen Veteran”?
A:
Whether the Veteran was KIA (killed in action) or passed away due to age or sickness or an accident they are still fallen veterans. They raised their hand and vowed to protect our country. God bless them all.

Q: What is your mission?
A:
Our Mission is to Honor Our Veterans by providing wreaths for the Minnesota State Veterans Cemeteries in December of each year.

Q: When is the ceremony and wreath placement held?
A:
The National Remembrance Ceremony is at 11 AM on the third Saturday in December 2022.

Q: Who actually places the Honor Wreaths on the graves?
A:
A number of organizations’ participate such as the Patriot Guard, Boy Scout Troups, VFW & Legion posts, WreathsForTheFallen.org members and anyone that would like to assist with this honorable project.

Q: Can I have a Honor Wreath placed on a family member’s grave?
A:
Yes! All you have to do is contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements to have a hand made wreath placed on the grave you specify at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.  On our home page you can click on the red ribbon that says "Honor A Veteran Here" and either make your request "on line" or print a form to send with your contribution and sponsorship.

Q: The person I want to honor is not buried at any of the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery's. Could I still get a Honor Wreaths placed?
A:
We are not able to actually place any Honor Wreaths at any cemetery other than the Minnesota State Veterans Cemeteries at Little Falls, Preston and Duluth at this time.

Q: Will you place wreaths in Ft Snelling?
A:
Unfortunately, not at this time. We will however assist you in contacting the people that can provide and place a Honor Wreath for you. Just send us an e-mail at Office@WreathsForTheFallen.org and we will reply with the information.

Q: Can I give more money than the cost of the wreaths I request?
A:
You most certainly may. On our individual sponsorship form there is a line for any additional contribution you might like to make. Additional funds are always welcome to defray the various administrative costs we encounter and provide wreaths for those veterans that do not have a sponsor.

Q: How can I contribute?
 

A: You can click on the "Honor A Veteran Here" red ribbon on any page and follow the instructions or or Call: 218-829-6622, or E-Mail us at Office@WreathsForTheFallen.org  We accept your check, all major credit cards and PayPal. You may make a general contribution or a specific grave request.

Q: Is my contribution tax deductible?
A: YES! WreathsForTheFallen.org is a certified IRS 501(c)(3) non profit organization.  Any contribution $250 and higher will automatically receive a certified receipt.  For all others all you need to do is keep a record of your contribution for your tax returns or simply ask to have a receipt sent.

Q: How can I join WreathsForTheFallen.org effort?
A: You can click on the "How to Help" or "E-Mail Sign Up" on the home page and follow the instructions or send an E-Mail to: Office@WreathsForTheFallen.org  and request to be put on the E-Mail list. Please include your name, address, and phone numbers. All information is kept confidential and is not shared with anyone. We will keep you informed of all activities and monthly meeting dates.
